The Parents Support Group in...

A group for parents or guardians with children that have behavioral, emotional, or psychiatric problems.

What happens during the group?

The focus of the group is to increase parenting skills while decreasing the stressors related to parenting, particularly parenting children with additional needs

What will my child be doing when I am in the group?

While the parents are in the group, advocates spend time with their children focusing on increasing the children’s social skills and the ability to following rules in a group setting.

Group Goals:

  • Improve parent-child relationships
  • Increase effect in implementation of behavior management strategies
  • Increase recipes for child success and decrease recipes for child’s failure
  • Provide parental support

When does the group meet?

Wednesdays from 4:30pm - 6:00pm.  Dinner is provided for parents and children during the group.
