What is the Winners Circle?

An intensive outpatient psychiatric treatment program for adolescents.
Therapeutic After School Program
It is a component of the SASS program at The Center for Children’s Services.

What is the purpose of the Winners Circle?

This is a program designed to build on the strengths of the participants. We identify and implement recipes for success(conditions which bring out the best in them) and identify and eliminate recipes for failure (conditions which bring out the worst in them). By providing conditions in which the youth thrives, and by eliminating obstacles, triggers, and temptations for trouble, we help each youth function at their highest level.

Every person has his or her talents. The staff of WINNERS’ CIRCLE will assist participants in identifying their strengths. Those strengths will serve as the stepping stones for new skill development to remediate weaknesses.

The WINNERS’ CIRCLE is designed to provide intensive after-school counseling to support adolescents who have recently been discharged from either acute psychiatric hospitalization or residential treatment. Adolescents with increasing problems, who are at risk for out of home placement, can also be evaluated for participation in order to attempt to defer placement.
